A Simple Prayer

How to Pray When You're Too Busy to Pray

Hello Praying Friends, Thank you for your commitment to pray!  Listen to this:"Better, far better, to do less work, if need be,in order that we may pray more;because work done by the rushing torrent of human energywill not save a single soul;whereas work done in vital and unbroken contact with the living Godwill tell for all eternity."-Anonymous, quoted in Net Results, July/Aug 2014The time you spend in prayer may not seem very useful, especially when your to-do list is long.  It takes faith to believe that setting aside quiet time to pray is really worth it.  After all, one of the things we love most is being productive! So we need these reminders that prayer is worth it.  As you pray, you are making an eternal difference.  So keep it up!Thanks to those of you who sent me some feedback last week about how your prayer time is going, and what your challenges are!  I'd love to hear from the rest of you!Let's keep praying together for these three things:

What's the Hardest Part of Praying?

post 1

Hello Friends,
Over the last two weeks, 158 of you have signed up to pray daily!

How wonderful that is!!  Together we are creating a movement that can turn the world upside down.

Pastor Bill and I truly believe we will start to see God's power and presence at work in new ways in our lives, our church and our communities because of your prayers.

We will send you encouragement, updates, and prayer tools from time to time.  If at any point you would like to change how you are receiving them (from text to e-mail, etc.), please let us know.

For now, when you pray, would you focus on these three things?
Ask God to make us HUNGRY for himAsk God to break our HEARTS for those who don't know JesusAsk God to flood our church family with the HOLY SPIRIT Thank you for praying!  God loves it when we spend time with him!

A.J. Gordon once said, "You can do more than pray, after you have prayed, but you can never do more than pray until you have prayed."
It's like hooking up to the power source. Why do I attempt things for God without first praying? Prayer is the priority. If you start anywhere else, your priorities are out of whack!
